Beatriz Bufrahi is the Chair of the Charles C. Baum Film and Visual Storytelling program at the Baltimore School for the Arts, a program that she established in 2017. Bufrahi has taught digital media and video since earning her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2004. In 2014, she co-directed and edited The Founders, a documentary about the establishment of the Baltimore School for the Arts. Bufrahi was founding director of the ‘Baltimore High School Film Festival’, which presented an annual juried screening of films from Baltimore and Maryland youth. In 2019, Bufrahi collaborated with the Media Studies Department at Johns Hopkins University to create the national ‘Saul Zaentz High School Film Festival.’ Bufrahi is a producer for the comedic web series, Turf Valley.
