Our summer studio classes are open to any Maryland resident going into grades 9-12 and to students of all levels of experience. There is no audition required. All materials are provided. Register now.
Ceramics Workshop
Students explore the basic materials, tools, and vocabulary of ceramics. Technical training includes handbuilding with coil, slab, and potters wheel. Functional, decorative, and expressive/ sculptural possibilities of clay are explored. A working knowledge of the kiln is acquired.

Drawing from Observation
Students study drawing from observation using elementary forms, exploring problems of structure, perspective, tonal variation, and composition. All materials provided.

Students study problems of anatomy, proportion, and form of the human figure and face.

Printmaking Survey
Students will learn the basics of five printmaking processes: collagraph, intaglio, relief, screenprinting, and monoprinting.
