Expressions 2022

Masks have been a part of the human experience for millenia. Worn in celebration, for safety, for mischief, to conceal, reveal, and everything in between.  At BSA, our masks are how we choose to present ourselves to the world. We’re putting on our brave face, taking chances, and making art. Expression 2022 is a celebration of our cultural and artistic experience, and the many truths that lie behind them. Everyday we wear a mask, but that doesn’t mean we’re hiding.

Join us in-person in the Schaefer Ballroom or virtually for Expressions ‘22: The Stories Behind the Masks, featuring spectacular performances by BSA students. 

For the first time ever, we will be broadcasting the spectacular Expressions content LIVE from the Schaefer Ballroom at BSA. If you missed your chance to grab your in-person ticket or you won’t be attending Expressions in-person this year, you can still join us virtually.

Chaired by BSA Board Member & Alum, Shanae Williams McLean ‘98, this year’s signature fundraising event offers the very best hybrid programming! 

In the interest of public health and safety, we have made a number of adjustments to this year’s event:

  • All attendees at the Thursday & Saturday shows must provide proof of full vaccination
  • Ballroom seating has been reduced to 50% capacity
  • Masks must be worn at all times (BSA has chosen not to lift its mask mandate for all Expressions ’22 shows)

We look forward to reconnecting with our community for Expressions ’22, don’t miss this BSA tradition!
