Build artmaking skills and develop your portfolio with Baltimore School for the Arts’ teaching artists!
Open to students of all levels of experience – no audition required. Open to any rising 9thgrade student to rising college freshman from any high school. Class size is limited.
There will be no classes July 4-5.

Printmaking Summer Session
Students will explore basic techniques in printmaking, including: collagraph, intaglio, monoprinting, relief, and screenprinting. All supplies provided.

2 sessions: Printmaking morning (9 am-noon)
Printmaking afternoon (12:30-3:30 pm)
Photography Summer Session
Students will learn how to operate a 35mm SLR film camera and the fundamentals of black and white darkroom printing. Cameras and supplies will be provided.

Fashion and Costume Illustration Summer Session
Students will learn basic techniques for fashion and costume illustration, including ink, water color, and charcoal rendering. The class will feature design sketching and drawing costume from a model. Informal lectures on the history of fashion and costume will emphasize the Golden Age of Hollywood. Many materials provided. Please bring a sketchbook and favorite drawing supplies.
