Join us in the Shakur Blackbox Theatre to watch the Senior Acting Ensemble present Waiting for Lefty, a 1935 play by the American playwright Clifford Odets. Consisting of a series of related vignettes, the play is framed by the meeting of cab drivers who are planning a labor strike. Lefty raises questions about timeless social issues such as fair wages, union politics, class warfare, and access to healthcare.
Afterwards, there will be a talkback discussion comparing current events and the topics raised by the play.
