Originally from CT, Linda Weinberg began her career in banking in 1978 followed by a move to Baltimore to join The First National Bank of Maryland’s Commercial Credit Division. Having built a successful career with M&T Bank (successor to The First National Bank of Maryland), Linda retired in November, 2022 as an Executive Vice President after 39 years with the Company.
During and following her tenure at M&T, she has continued to volunteer at, serve as a Board member for and support The Baltimore School for the Arts. She previously held Board positions at Meals on Wheels and Jewish Vocational Services and currently is a member of Baltimore Women’s Giving Circle. At a young age her parents imparted the wisdom that success in life is not measured solely by one’s career but rather one’s willingness to give back to the community through volunteerism and philanthropy.
Linda continues to lead her life by the principle that identifying one’s passion, cultivating it and knowing you can make a difference is what builds a meaningful life. Having grown up the product of an excellent public school system with varied arts programs, the importance of the arts in education and one’s growth and development has always been her passion. The Baltimore School for the Arts, its impact on its students and the broader community, continues to be the vehicle that nurtures her passion.
