Help for Stoneman Douglas Students—With a Baltimore Connection

When Jane Bloom ’00 got a call from her cousin, a Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School graduate, asking her to help produce a music video right after the tragic shooting, Bloom knew she wanted to do something. After lending her award-winning production skills to the project – which since has drawn accolades from Paul McCartney and Britney Spears – Bloom reached out to fellow Baltimore School for the Arts alumnus Meagan Adele Lopez for help promoting the video on social media.

But then knew they wanted to do more to help the community heal. Lopez mentioned that Jessica Asch ’00 was a drama therapist living in New York, and the idea of an arts therapy summer camp was born.

You can learn more about how these Baltimore natives helped create this very special camp in this WYPR story.
