    Wind Symphony and Jazz Concert

    April 2, 2020 at

Please join us in the Schaefer Ballroom for an enchanting evening of music.

The Wind Symphony program will feature a delightful and diverse selection of music. They will celebrate the school’s 40th anniversary with Overture for Winds by Charles Carter, a work performed by BSA’s first Wind Ensemble in 1983. They’ll also salute Beethoven’s 250 centennial with Drei Zapfenstreiche March No. 1 and Geschwindmarsch by Beethoven Paraphrase from Symphonia Serena (Hindemith). They will close out with an Armenian folk tunes piece, Armenian Dances by Alfred Reed, and a selection of songs from the movie Incredibles 2.

The jazz portion of the program, Moving Forward, will focus on 21st century work, including selections by Kamasi Washington, J Dilla, Radiohead, A Tribe Called Quest, and more.
