Baltimore School for the Arts student playing guitar

Thanks for your interest in auditioning for the Baltimore School for the Arts!

Admission is based solely on an audition and an interview. Current 8th and 9th grade students may audition in one or two art areas: Dance, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Film and Visual Storytelling, Theatre, Stage Design and Production, and Visual Arts.

Here’s how it works:

First, every fall we have an Open House. Come if you can! We’ll walk you through the process and answer any questions you may have. This year’s has passed, but that’s OK, because attending Open House is not required.

Second, complete an application form to request an audition. The application deadline for the 2018-19 school year was November 22, 2017, and auditions will be held January 22-26, 2018.

Third, audition appointment letters will be mailed by winter break. If you haven’t received a letter by January 8, please call Ms. Lisa Peels at 443.642.5167.
