This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the Baltimore School for the Arts and we are still soaring!
We have so many reasons to be grateful. One of them is the support we receive from individuals and foundations who believe in the potential of BSA’s young artists and who are willing to invest in their futures.
Every day at this unique high school, our students overcome challenging circumstances to pursue their passion for dance, music, theatre or visual arts. Over the course of thirty years, many have met with tremendous success. This is due to talent and hard work, but it is also due to the foundation they receive here, to the arts and academic programs that are the backbone of the BSA education.
The following programs are funded through gifts to BSA’s annual campaign and Expressions:
- academic interventions for at-risk students including preparatory summer bridge work, intensive tutoring and extensive test preparation
- opportunities for our students to perform for and exhibit to the public in professional venues and productions, and in collaborative efforts with Baltimore’s premiere cultural institutions
- residencies and master classes with luminaries in the arts
- individual summer study scholarships for juniors to study at nationally renowned programs
- all of the specialized instructional materials and necessary supplies including art books and scripts, CDs and videos, computers, pointe shoes, paint brushes, musical instruments and scores
Thank you for helping our students to continue to soar!
