The Baltimore School for the Arts, located in the historic Mt. Vernon district of Baltimore, is a public arts high school that offers pre-professional training in vocal and instrumental music, dance, theater (acting and design), and the visual arts in combination with a rigorous college-preparatory academic program to 400 students in grades nine through twelve. Students are selected through competitive auditions and study with a faculty of professional artists who live and work in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. area. 98% of the school’s graduates are accepted into the nation’s leading colleges, conservatories, and universities.

This is a part-time contractual position (25 hours per week) with a starting pay rate of $33.50 per hour. The Technical Director teaches 16 hours per week and has 9 hours per week of time accrued to be used on rehearsals and performances. The position is ideal for a theatre artist who values some flexibility in work schedule and who enjoys interacting with young artists.  Interviews for this position will commence immediately.
