You’ve Gotta Have Art And do we have art for you – from the hands-on, fun art classes to the first-rate art exhibition by the BSA visual art students and the stand-on-your-feet live performance by BSA dancers, actors and musicians. It’s all part of Expressions 2012 and it promises to be a perfect combination of lively conversation, delicious food by Chef’s Expressions and the talent and energy of the BSA students.
DANCE/MUSICALTHEATRE New this year! We’re combining dance and musical theatre and have come up with a knock-out version of “You Gotta Have Heart” from Damn Yankees. Bats and baseball caps provided. This will be one of our best classes ever.
CHORUS and ORCHESTRA Stevie Wonder is the man of the hour and this year you can be part of either the chorus or orchestra performing his hit “ You Are the Sunshine of My Life”. No solos (unless there are volunteers) and there will be plenty of BSA student musicians on hand to make both instrumentalists and singers sound great!
VISUAL ARTS Composer Stephen Sondheim’s “Finishing the Hat” is the inspiration for this year’s visual art class. We’ll give you the hat and everything you’ll need to create something you will be proud to wear (or display). Sondheim music provided in the background as a muse.
THEATRE Back by popular demand! Theatre games with master gamester Tony Tsendeas who will lead you in improvisations that will make you feel like you’re a part of the Second City troupe. Award-winning director Steve Yaeger will also be on hand for your very own screen test - rehearsal coaching available with the superb BSA acting students.
